After many happy holidays in the beautiful South of France, we have decided to purchase a holiday home
slightly closer to our own home and are therefore selling our beautiful house in Aspiran, Languedoc. (200m²)
The house has 3 floors (+ roof top terrace); 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower, one guest toilet, two
open areas for library/ TV/ etc.; a large open space dining room & kitchen and a fire place in the dining
room for cozy winter nights. In addition, our house is fully renovated to the highest standards (the
renovation took more than 1 year and probably cost as much as the entire house when we purchased it).
We have our own large garden in the back (80m²), which is safe from views from the street, has beautiful plants,
trees and rose bushes, and its own very small `pool` for hot summer days. Also, we have an outdoor
kitchen with BBQ and an extra wine cellar for all those great French wines.
The pictures do not tell the entire story - please contact us via mail and we will send you a link to a video
we took of the entire house. We have filled the house with many antique furniture pieces over the years
(bought at the antique markets of Pezenas) and are happy to sell the house with the furniture and
equipped ready for you to move into your new holiday home.
The house is in great condition, we are selling it because we cannot do the 12 hour journey by car during
every holiday anymore. When our kids were younger, we loved to spend our family holidays there.
Aspiran is a quiet and small town which allows you to have peace and quiet and enjoy the fantastic views
from our rooftop. Aspiran has its own supermarket, weekly market, hair dresser, bar, restaurants, post
office, ... everything you need if you prefer to stay in your own village! But also Aspiran is centered
perfectly to explore the beautiful Languedoc area:
Montpellier is not far away, where you can go shopping or explore the cultural activities such as the
famous Opera de Montpellier.
Historic Pezenas, where you can enjoy the weekly French markets. Pezenas is famous for its bustling
Saturday market, architecture, music festivals, restaurants, brocantes and of course shopping.

Meze on the L`étang de Thau ` Mediterranean, is the most beautiful little town with a picturesque harbour
surrounded with fish restaurants and numerous narrow and meandering streets, beaches lie on both
sides of the harbour. Meze is barely a 25 minutes drive from La Cardabelle, 8 miles as the crow flies and a
little further by road. Meze is located on the Etang de Thau, our gateway to the Mediterranean, the
beaches are clean and the waters are shallow, crystal clear, safe and ideal for children.

L`étang de Thau is famous for shell fish, particularly mussels and oysters, to quote Rick Stein “the best
oysters in the World are found in the L`étang de Thau ”. Try lunch or dinner at any of the many harbour
restaurants an experience not to be missed and not expensive or you could buy a dozen oysters from any
of the Coquillage stalls on the Etang and take them back to La Cardabelle to enjoy under the pergola on a
warm summers evening with a bottle of chilled wine.

Lac du Salagou with its Ghost Village and many water based activities set amid stunning scenery is only
25 minutes drive from La Cardabelle, on route you pass through Clermont l’Herault famous for its
medieval church and the regions main olive co-operative and shop.

St. Guilhem le Desert a stunningly picturesque medieval village is rated in the top 10 of France’s most
beautiful villages and is a 15 minute drive from Aspiran, a drive that takes you meandering through
vineyards before arriving at the Georges de Herault, drive over the Pont du Diable (The Devils Bridge) and
within 5 minutes you arrive at St. Guilhem le Desert, prepare your selves for something really special! A
further 5 minutes drive on from St. Guilhem le Desert takes you to canoe centres where you can hire
canoes and paddle through the Herault Gorges.

There are numerous festivals and markets throughout the region.
Aqualand: Cap d’Agde Water Park, the children will love it.

Beaches: Le Grande Motte Pont Zero, Marseillan Plage, Vias Plage, Rochelongue Plage to name just a
few.

Beziers: Famous for Rugby and its wonderful Friday flower market and church set high above the town.
Fabulous festival during August with spectacular fireworks displays and street entertainment probably
the best festival in the South of France.

Canal de Midi: The largest UNESCO World heritage site on earth.

Cirque de Navacelles: A geographic spectacular wonder.

Country Walks: In and around the Garrigue and vineyards, too many to name
